On 23 August 2025, the Professional Thai Massage Association of Australia (PTMAA) participated in the seminar titled “The Future of Thai Massage Businesses: Workforce and Visa Challenges”, hosted by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney.
The seminar brought together Thai massage business owners, practitioners, and community members from across Australia to discuss current workforce shortages, recruitment challenges, and visa-related issues affecting the Thai massage industry.
During the event, Ms. Pam Pitithitiya Dilokpornhirun, President of PTMAA, together with members of the Association’s Executive Committee, addressed attendees and shared the Association’s vision, objectives, and commitment to supporting Thai massage businesses and practitioners throughout Australia.
A significant highlight of the event was the official presentation of appointment certificates to the newly elected PTMAA Executive Committee. Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Consul in Sydney, graciously presented certificates to the Association’s President and Executive Committee members in recognition of their leadership roles and contributions to the Thai massage profession in Australia.
PTMAA sincerely thanks the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney for its support and recognition of the important role the Thai massage industry plays within the Thai-Australian community. The Association also extends its appreciation to all business owners, practitioners, and participants who attended and contributed to the valuable discussions.
As the national association representing Thai massage professionals and business owners, PTMAA remains committed to promoting professional standards, supporting workforce development, advocating for industry needs, and strengthening the future of the Thai massage profession across Australia.
Through collaboration, education, and professional leadership, PTMAA will continue working towards a stronger, more sustainable, and internationally respected Thai massage industry in Australia.
