✨ Meeting with H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia ✨

On 2 October 2025, Ms. Pam Pitiitiya Dilokpornhiran, President of the Professional Thai Massage Association of Australia (PTMAA), led the newly appointed Executive Committee to pay a courtesy visit to H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra.

The meeting aimed to seek guidance and exchange views on facilitating the lawful recruitment and exchange of Thai massage professionals and experts to work and share their traditional knowledge in Australia — an initiative that could help alleviate the severe labour shortage currently affecting the Thai massage industry nationwide.

During the discussion, the Association presented the key challenges faced by Thai massage business operators, including the shortage of skilled therapists and the stringent visa approval process, which have led to a decline in qualified Thai massage practitioners across Australia.

H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban graciously offered valuable insight and expressed her support for PTMAA to collaborate with the Embassy in organising activities that promote the positive image of Thai massage and enhance public awareness of the Association’s role and mission.

The Professional Thai Massage Association of Australia (PTMAA) reaffirms its commitment to serve as a strong collective voice for Thai massage professionals and business operators throughout Australia — working together to advocate for policy improvements, address workforce challenges, and build a sustainable future for the Thai massage industry.

PTMAA warmly invites all Thai massage business owners, therapists, and wellness enthusiasts to join the Association as members and be part of shaping the future of Thai massage in Australia together.
